Research Impact

The institute is committed to conducting high-quality research and is devoted to excellence in research. Apart from academic excellence, the institute has supported and been involved in research since its inception. Several intramural/extramural projects, clinical trials, and projects of national importance/under the Government of India are currently running at the University.

The research committee conducts regular research proposal review meetings wherein research aspirants present their proposals for acceptance/modifications and are ethically and scientifically scrutinised. This process is designed to uphold the highest quality of research, fostering integrity, innovation, and maximal benefit to patient care and societal well-being.

Research Activities Overview (2023–24 and 2024–25)

During the academic year 2023–24, the institute sanctioned a total of 73 non-funded research projects,6 intramural projects, and 8 projects under the Multidisciplinary Research Unit (MRU). Additionally, 6 clinical trials were initiated during the same period, reflecting the institute’s commitment to advancing clinical and translational research.

In the following year, 2024–25, research activity continued to show robust growth. A total of 41 non-funded research projects were approved, alongside a significant increase in intramural projects, which rose to 17. Projects sanctioned under the MRU also increased, with 13 new initiatives launched.

These figures reflect the institute's ongoing dedication to fostering a dynamic research environment across various disciplines, supporting both investigator-initiated studies and institutionally driven research programs.

PG Thesis Synopsis Overview (2023–24 and 2024–25)

The institute also conducts post-graduate theses of medical and paramedical students as a part of their rigorous curriculum and training. For the academic year 2023–2024, a total of 77 Medical PG theses were conducted, while the number rose to 99 in the year 2024–2025. For the same year, 19 paramedical PG thesis synopses were done.
