Introduction:
- Our department is integral part of UPUMS Saifai since the institute has started and
continuously doing work to add feather in glamorous cap of this prestigious institute.
- Department have made its own identity among patients in state as well as country level.
- Our institute is catering mainly rural population of adjoining districts of Uttar Pradesh.
- Along with providing OPD and emergency services to our patients we also make future
excellent Gynaecologists by giving best training to our PG students in every aspect of field.
Infrastructure:
- Teaching Area
- Clinical Demonstration room of size 12*12 square feet with capacity of 40 and audio-visual equipment
available
- A departmental library cum seminar room with 134 books of obstetrics and gynaecology
- Research laboratory available
- Office accomodation available for HOD and faculties and clerks
Clinical Area:
- 30 beds of obstetrics, 36 beds of gynaecology while 54 beds of postpartum or postnatal care and these
are being managed by 3 units.
- There are 4 beds in intensive care unit for obstetrics and gynaecology. All major equiptments like
Multiparameter monitor , pulse oximeter ,infusion pump, CTG machines ,USG machines ,colposcope
,Laproscope ,Hysterescope ,Cryo/LEEP cautery available in required numbers and are functional.
- There are 3 operation theatre of adequate size and adequate equipment, lighting arrangements and air
conditioning .OT complex has anaesthetic room, preparation room, recovery room and post operative ward
with proper arrangement for students to watch and learn.
- Labour room has 6 clean and 3 septic beds with proper arrangements of lights and sterilization. It also
has new born baby corner, preparation room and waiting wards are available.
- Outpatient department has 8 rooms for examining patients clinical demonstration room for
bed side teaching is available.
